This is a genuine, 88 year old, hand-colored pochoir print produced as Plate IV of the Gazette du Bon Ton No. 12 (Oct. 1913) - the second year of publication. The early GBT issues are more rare and particularly known for their exquisite pochoir technique. With the flare of the Poiret coat and the impish face, this one is classic Lepape and much sought-after. It's hard to believe that the snow, layered on blotchy and thick, was done with stencil - it looks hand painted! Excellent condition on crème heavy laid artist's paper;
