This is a genuine hand coloured, signed pochoir print from the exclusive 1912 Parisian fashion publication Modes et Manieres d'Aujourd'hui (Plate IX). One of a series of 12 pochoirs in a seminal work that defined Art Deco. The long vertical lines of the evening wear, the geometric effects of the lattice work and steps, the glamorous non-chalance of the sophisticated and coquettish model, all typify the collaboration of Georges Lepape, artist, and Paul Poiret designer extraoridinaire. The turban headdress is a Poiret trademark. The gouache paintwork is richly applied - truly 1912 state-of-the-pochoir-art!
