Georges Lepape
Le Festin
Pochoir
SOLD
This is a genuine hand coloured, signed pochoir print from the exclusive 1912 Parisian fashion publication Modes et Manieres d'Aujourd'hui (Plate VII). One of a series of 12 pochoirs in a seminal work that defined Art Deco. To make this truly a "feast" for the eyes, Lepape has used silver ink to colour the cloche hat, gold ink on the candelabra and gouache so rich for the fruit and beading that one physically feels the texture as though it were done in oils. Magnifique! H. 11.0in X W. 7.25in; H. 27.9cm X W. 18.4cm
