Liturgical manuscript on calfskin leaf from an early 15th Century Psalter Book, originating in a French monastery. The majescule letters "L,L,C and L"(Side A) and "L,H and O" (Side B) are raised burnished gold laid on vermillion and azure with filigree work. The sidebars demonstrate fine Renaissance penwork and paint embellishment with gold backgound and filigree. The Latin script is beautifully rendered in brown ink with lead red rubric.
