Original pochoir from the rare series "The War Years, 1914-1919" published as a special edition of Modes et Manieres d'Aujourd'hui (1920) Plate No. III. Each Plate was dated according to the "War Year" depicted and each was paired with a poem by Henry Jacques. "Permissionnaire" is the story of a soldier's leave - a brief chance to escape the trenches and enjoy the delights of La Jeune Fille de Pays.
