This is an authentic, hand-coloured, signed pochoir fashion illustration from the 1914 Journal des Dames et des Modes - a Parisian fashion journal published by Tom Antongini. This revue ran for only two years (1912-1914) and was limited to 1279 copies per issue. Because of this it is much less known than the Gazette du Bon Ton but employed many of the same artists. The plates came with the revues but were not bound in. Lovely gold foiling on the underskirt, beads and mirror. Wonderfully reflective of the fascination with the Orient and the theatrical during these times.
